Our Affiliates
Our affiliates show their support for the York Soil and Water Conservation District by donating. This donation goes towards our education outreach programs, seed libraries and supplies, and local environmental initiatives. Affiliates who donate are included in newsletters, and receive them by mail quarterly. Affiliates are also gifted a one year subscription to the SC Wildlife magazine, to be regifted yearly as affiliates turn in renewal donations.
Education Outreach
Our affiliates have access to the educational services provided by our district coordinator at no charge. This donation not only benefits the affiliate, but also the youth of the community! Providing students with environmental knowledge is an incredible step towards the conservation of our district.
Seed Libraries and Supplies
Providing free seeds to the community is a great way to give back. As not everyone has the ability to easily start their own garden, or access to organic produce, the supplies provided helps kickstart the process for those who need it. We also include free water testing kits.
Local Environmental Initiatives
The York Soil and Water Conservation District participates in many different environmental initiatives, such as Stormwater Education, Earth Day Birthday, SC Adopt-a-Stream, Adopt-a-Highway Trash Clean up, Catawba River sweep, Disaster Clean ups, and much more.
